Technology is one of the key elements for the development of mining projects and operations, both in Peru and worldwide.
The city was founded on August 15th, 1540, and called “Villa Hermosa de Nuestra Señora de la Asunta” in the name of the Marquis Don Francisco Pizarro.
Arequipa, known as “The White City”, was built almost entirely out of ashlar. It is located at 2,325 m.a.s.l, in the desert mountains of the Andes and is surrounded by 3 volcanoes: Misti, Chachani and Picchu Picchu.
