The STEM Dinner aims to help shape future scientists, engineers, and technologists through the Kuraq Ñañayki program by WIM Peru.

As part of PERUMIN 37, and with the objective of promoting equity in the sciences, the STEM Dinner will be held—a socially driven event aimed at raising funds to spark interest among girls and young women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The dinner will take place on September 21, 2025, one day before the official opening of PERUMIN 37, Latin America’s leading mining convention and one of the most prominent in the world.

This initiative is led by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the PERUMIN 37 Organizing Committee. Its goal is to support the Kuraq Ñañayki program, which offers educational workshops in science, technology, and innovation. Through this program—and with support from Women in Mining (WIM) Peru—participants will have the opportunity to connect with mentors and professionals from the technology and mining sectors, who will guide them in their academic and professional development.

The STEM Dinner aims to benefit 1,200 girls from Arequipa, marking a significant effort to close gender gaps and nurture future leaders in science and technology.

The event will take place in a setting that fosters networking and social engagement, bringing together business leaders, industry professionals, and individuals committed to education and social development. Attending this event represents direct support for girls’ education in Arequipa and a commitment to a more equitable and inclusive future.
