The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), a professional association founded in 1943, whose mission is to contribute to the growth and dissemination of best mining practices in Peru, with the support of the Professional School of Mining Engineering of the Universidad Católica de Santa María de Arequipa, is calling for entries for the PERUMIN National School Mining Award.
Both institutions have decided to promote this contest at a national level within the framework of the 37th PERUMIN Mining Convention because mining is one of the oldest activities in the country. Today, it is not only a pillar of the country's social and economic development, but also a sector that allows the generation of resources to fight climate change and move towards energy transition.
The contest is aimed at primary and secondary students from public and private schools throughout Peru. Its main objective is to motivate students' research and creativity by disseminating the relevance of the sector for the future of the country.
The first three places in the contest will have access to various prizes, based on the category of participation. Take a look and be surprised by the incentives we have for you!
Ready to participate? Well, check out the key dates of the contest, get ready and spread the word to your classmates. The PERUMIN National School Mining Award can be yours - don't be left out!
