The Logistics Meeting is an event that will mainly bring together stakeholders in the mining logistics industry, such as internal customers, procurement representatives, contract administrators, suppliers, contractors and transporters. The program has been developed by a committee led by Angel Espinoza, Supply Manager at Cerro Verde.
The program will be divided into two parts: the first will feature fifteen mining companies that will make short presentations providing general information about their operations and supply chain management, which may be useful for the suppliers' strategic and commercial purposes.
The second part will include four conferences on topics such as responsible supply, supply chain due diligence, supply chain experience and warehouse cycle counting with robots.
Finally, there will be a discussion on the role of the strategic partner with members of the Suppliers Committee of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE) and Repsol Spain.
Every company has different methods of transporting its production, whether by pipeline, train or truck; however, we must seek a more efficient way of transporting it to the ports in order to subsequently access the world's main markets.
Productivity should not only be about competitive prices or lower costs but also about being environmentally friendly, operating safely and being socially aware. Therefore, the sustainable supply chain must embody these concepts.
Regarding community companies, if in addition to productivity, they prioritize planning, punctuality and transparency, they will have greater opportunities to become strategic partners not only of a mine but also of the mining sector at the national level.
You are invited to PERUMIN 36 and especially to our Logistics Meeting on Thursday, September 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Commercial Room No. 9 and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Nilo Rios Quinteros Room.
Best regards,
Enrique Alania
