A space that highlights academic excellence, innovation, and applied research in the mining sector. We connect universities with the industry to build a more sustainable future.
ACADEMY MEETINGPERUMIN37
Academia plays a fundamental role in the development of the mining sector and has an
increasingly active presence at PERUMIN, the leading mining convention in Latin
America and the world.
It is through universities and higher education institutes that professionals and
technicians in the industry are trained and educated, while also fostering the
development of science and research. The recognition of our natural resources, the
planning for their proper use, the implementation of effective fieldwork techniques, and
the application of increasingly advanced technologies must all be imparted through
academic institutions for the benefit of sustainability.
It is within this academic environment that the professionals of the future are
formed—those who must be capable of analyzing the various aspects involved in
mining development: its productive potential, economic impact, environmental
preservation, competitiveness in the global market, social management, among other
key areas.
The Academy Pavilion, which will be featured for the first time at PERUMIN 37, is a
meeting point between educators, students, and companies. Its goal is to establish
synergies that benefit both the mining industry and society at large. It aims to promote
innovation, talent development, and applied research that addresses the challenges of
the mining sector, driven by academic and scientific excellence.
We invite you to take part in this initiative, which we are confident will bring forth
many new developments for the benefit of our professionals.
