In a global context of energy transition, Peru has already positioned itself as one of the countries that will be able to supply the world with critical minerals and rare earths. We possess a geological wealth that brings development to the country, and also puts us in front of the challenge of working with environmental goals while maintaining the operability and competitiveness of the deposits.

The PERUMIN International Meeting will be the space in which we will be able to have a look at the trends beyond our borders, and to know how we are heading as a country in this world of challenges.

We will address the issue of automation that is linked to the technological change of these times and there will be a space to analyze the relevance and various aspects that involve cybersecurity. This issue will be reviewed from the impact on operations, supply, production, management and relationship, as well as the best practices that have been detected in other industries.

On the other hand, we will discuss the challenge for all countries to work in a committed and transparent manner, ensuring that their acquisitions are the result of an adequate, responsible and sustainable process. A special focus will be made on the possibilities of approaching the traceability of products, especially metals.

All this requires a broad view that allows changing dynamics, incorporating or adapting processes in production schemes, in addition to joining efforts in the development of the country. To learn and discuss what is being done in other countries on this path, we will have experts who will share their experiences and progress from the mining sector in different regions of the world.
