The event will take place on October 29 and 30 and will feature innovation panels, new scholarships, and the raffle for tickets to the major mining convention.
Lima, October 21, 2024. Homar Lozano, director of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), announced in a recent edition of Mining Thursday the raffle of 10 tickets for PERUMIN 37, the leading mining convention in Latin America and the world, among all attendees of PERUMIN Jóvenes, an event that will take place on October 29 and 30 in Lima.
“We are organizing the first edition of PERUMIN Jóvenes, with the goal of highlighting the leadership and actions of the new generations for the mining industry. We want to raise collective awareness among young people about the importance of the mining sector and highlight the professional opportunities it offers,” said Lozano. He also emphasized that this event aims to position the IIMP as a technical benchmark in the country's development.
The Organizing Committee of PERUMIN Jóvenes, led by Lozano along with Mariana Abugattás, Rafael Estrada, Diana Rake, and Tomás Gonzales, expects the participation of 400 young students and recent graduates from universities and technical schools. 'We will open the doors of the Institute to welcome all those who wish to participate in this initiative,' added Lozano.
Among the scheduled activities, PERUMIN Jóvenes will feature panels on social issues and innovation, as well as the launch of the new PERUMIN scholarship, in collaboration with Enseña Perú. There will also be opportunities for outstanding students and young leaders.
It should be noted that among all attendees of PERUMIN Jóvenes, 10 free tickets will be raffled off for PERUMIN 37, the mining convention to be held from September 22 to 26, 2025.
