Countries such as China, the United States, Turkey, and Finland will take part in the Mining Convention. Germany will be the partner country in this edition, which focuses on sustainability.
Organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), PERUMIN 37, Latin America’s most important mining convention, will take place in Arequipa from September 22 to 26. This year’s edition is set to welcome delegations from all five continents, making it one of the most ambitious and representative editions since its founding. In doing so, PERUMIN is solidifying its position as one of the leading global platforms for the mining industry.
PERUMIN 37 will host delegations from 15 countries, including China, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Finland, Turkey, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Switzerland. This diversity underscores the growing relevance of Peruvian mining on the global stage and the importance of the event as a hub for knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and shared experiences.
This year, Germany has been designated as the event’s partner country and will actively participate across various program areas, promoting a sustainable and climate-focused approach to mining—one of the central themes of this edition. This partnership will help strengthen technical, technological, and commercial ties with Germany.
International delegations will take part not only in the Mining Technology Exhibition—EXTEMIN—but also in the event’s broader program, which includes the Mining Summit—PERUMIN’s central platform for analysis and debate—as well as conferences, technical sessions, and a variety of academic, social, and business activities.
Since its founding in 1954, the IIMP has organized every edition of PERUMIN, positioning Peru as a world-class mining country and providing a robust platform to showcase its mineral wealth and offer concrete proposals to the industry.
