The company will reward one of the winners of the six categories of the National Mining Award, as part of the Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability Forum.
Epiroc will award the winner of one of the six categories of the National Mining Award with an exclusive trip to one of its global factories and participation in an international event. According to the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), this recognition will be granted within the framework of the Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability Forum (TIS Forum), a program developed as part of PERUMIN 37.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Epiroc is a global leader in productivity and sustainability for the mining and construction industries.
“Epiroc is proud to recognize the commitment to innovation and sustainable development in Peruvian mining,” said Alfredo Bertrand, general manager of Epiroc Andean Region.
The company will award a prize that includes an exclusive trip to one of its eight factories worldwide, where the winner will gain first-hand insight into cutting-edge technologies and processes.
“This experience will be complemented by the opportunity to participate in an international congress or event aligned with the winner’s area of expertise, thereby promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices on a global scale,” Bertrand added.
He also stated that the award seeks not only to celebrate excellence but also to drive the transformation of the Peruvian mining industry by “encouraging the adoption of innovative solutions that contribute to a more efficient, safer, and more sustainable future.”

The award committee will select the overall winner of the National Mining Award from among the six category winners of the TIS Forum. The award will be presented at the closing ceremony of the event on Friday, September 26, during the PERUMIN 37 Mining Convention in Arequipa.
