This contest encourages the research and creativity of schoolchildren and promotes knowledge about mining for the benefit of Peru.
Good news! Due to the great reception of applications from schoolchildren from all regions of the country, the organizing committee of the National School Mining Award (PNME) announced the extension of the call, so that students from all over the country will be able to send their works until July 18.
This contest, aimed at students from public and private schools throughout the country, seeks to promote the interest of children and adolescents in mining activity and its importance in the economic and social development of Peru, through research and creativity.
What does it consist of?
The students, accompanied by a teacher advisor, must present a creative work whose theme addresses mining, according to the corresponding category:
Fantastic prizes
Among the prizes are scholarships for higher education at Tecsup; checks of up to S/5,000 for educational institutions; laptops and tablets for students and teachers; and a special recognition for the video with the highest views on social networks.
In addition, the winners will travel with all expenses covered to Arequipa to participate in the awards ceremony that will be held during PERUMIN 37, the most important mining convention in Latin America.
