• The Mining Convention is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 29 at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa.

PERUMIN 36, the leading Mining Convention in Latin America and the world, will not only showcase the latest advancements in the mining industry but also the traditions of Arequipa, a region that has been the official host of this event for over two decades.

Arequipa’s cuisine plays a significant role in this tradition. Therefore, considering that more than 60,000 attendees will be part of PERUMIN 36, restaurants like Tanta, Puerta Mar, El Montonero, Puerto 92, La Despensa, Monasterio, and Catalina, among others, have been invited to delight all attendees during the five days of the fair. Among the region's typical dishes, you can taste rocoto relleno (Peruvian stuffed pepper), malaya frita (fried beef brisket), and chupe de camarones (shrimp chowder), as well as traditional desserts like queso helado (traditional ice-cream) and pastel de choclo (corn pie).

“PERUMIN showcases Arequipa's tradition, and its cuisine could not be the exception, to the delight of all our conventioneers. We are convinced that their participation in the Convention will be highly rewarding, not only due to the exchange of knowledge and experiences but also to the rich program of cultural activities planned for the event," explained Miguel Cardozo, President of PERUMIN 36.

PERUMIN FOOD Platform

This edition will feature the virtual platform PERUMIN FOOD, enabling attendees to place their food, beverage, and equipment service orders in advance so that deliveries can be conveniently scheduled.

"We have introduced a user-friendly e-commerce platform. On the PERUMIN FOOD website, attendees can select restaurants by categories and types of food, which speeds up order delivery and optimizes the shopping experience," added Cardozo.

The Mining Convention, which carries the slogan "Investment that generates welfare and sustainable development" this year, will take place from September 25 to 29 at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa.
