A powerful initiative to raise awareness about the fight against cancer and to show solidarity with those affected by this disease is being promoted by Grupo Porter at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa, where PERUMIN 36 will take place from September 25 to 29.
“The PERUMIN project is extensive, and we put a lot of effort and dedication into it. That is why we wanted our employees to feel that they are working for a cause, and this time we wanted them to identify with people who have cancer and are fighting for their lives," said Ximena Arenas Lizares Quiñones, project director at Grupo Porter.
The ninety assemblers, including six women, wear pink helmets and vests and strongly identify with the campaign. They all believe that the struggle of thousands of women to overcome cancer is a source of inspiration, and in this way, they honor their courage, which is reflected in their commitment as a company and as human beings.
"Our workers here at the PERUMIN venue also give their all, their energy, their lives, to ensure that the stands turn out well. We wanted to convey this, considering that there is a high incidence of cancer cases in Arequipa," added Arenas Lizares.
On the other hand, the general manager of Grupo Porter, Luis Dianderas, stated that as a company, they seek to be inspired and spread that inspiration to their entire team. "This year, during each day of assembly, our team will proudly wear the color pink as a tribute to all the brave women who have fought and continue to fight cancer," he pointed out.
Grupo Porter is a company specialized in stand implementation and mobile panels. It has participated in seven consecutive editions of PERUMIN, where they have performed assembly work for various exhibiting companies. They have a skilled workforce, primarily from Arequipa.
