  • In addition, a special recognition of 2 thousand dollars in training will be offered to the winning venture in the CIP Agrilac Resiliente category.

This Friday, during the closing ceremony of PERUMIN 36, the three winners of the fourth edition of PERUMIN Inspira, which seeks to strengthen ties between the academic and business sectors of Peruvian and global mining to contribute to social development, will be announced.

PERUMIN Inspira is an award created by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) for sustainable development projects. This event, in alliance with CIP Agrilac Resiliente and managed by Kunan, aims to identify social enterprises in Peru.
The presentation stage of the ten finalists, who presented and answered questions about their projects to the jury, culminated this Thursday. The participants' pitches lasted 2 hours.

Among the finalists are Inversiones Qosqo, Prepaso, Nostoc, RIFAI, Hortalizas del Colca, Creatividad y tecnología desde la comunidad campesina de Colcabamba, Inspirall, Única Nueva Esperanza, Café Orígenes and Wayru Perú.

The selected ventures are opportunities to address latent social and environmental challenges that contribute to eight out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): End poverty, zero hunger, health and well-being, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, responsible production and consumption, and climate action.
"In this edition we will have four winners. Three of them in the category 'High-Impact Startups and one thanks to the special recognition 'CIP - Agrilac Resiliente'," shared the president of PERUMIN Inspira, Jimena Sologuren.

Each of the three winners of the 'High-Impact Startups' category will benefit from a seed capital of 15 thousand soles thanks to the mining company Poderosa, the company Orica and the Moquegua Crece program. In addition, they will receive digital technical support thanks to the Kaman Business Incubator of the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP).

The award also includes legal support from the law firm Benites, Vargas & Ugaz Abogados, mentoring sessions by Aceleradora ADN Partners, access to online workshops thanks to Tecsup, and promotion and dissemination in the media.

The winner of the CIP - Agrilac Resiliente category will receive training, worth up to US$2,000.
