As of October of this year, a total of 200 Chilean companies have made connections with 300 Peruvian companies.
The Embassy of Chile and Pro-Chile joined forces to carry out "Chile Night", an event aimed at fostering business collaboration.
The Chilean Ambassador, Óscar Fuentes Lira, welcomed the attendees, among whom were the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade of Peru, Teresa Mera Gómez, businesspersons, diplomats, and mayors.
He also stressed the importance of continuing with the integration process between Peru and Chile during the coming year, consolidating the relationship that has been cultivated in the past few years.
Lorena Sánchez, Chile's commercial attaché, shared her perspective on the relationship between the two countries, describing it as a "puzzle that fits perfectly".
Sánchez indicated that Pro-Chile carries out various activities to promote its export offer, among which she mentioned its participation in various fairs, business rounds, trade missions, and programs focused on the mining sector, highlighting PERUMIN.
Chile was one of the countries that had a major participation in PERUMIN 36, the Mining Convention held in September of this year, under the leadership of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers. As a result, they were recently recognized by Miguel Cardozo, president of this year's edition, and Abraham Chahuan, president of the Institute.
In this regard, Sanchez announced that thanks to their presence in PERUMIN 36, along with the program of activities that they have promoted independently, they connected close to 200 Chilean companies with 300 Peruvian companies in October.
The official also stated that, in the framework of Pro-Chile's 50th anniversary in 2024, the main challenge will be to strengthen the work with Chilean companies with a presence in Peru, thus contributing to the development and economic growth of both countries.
