• There will be 4 winners, who will have the opportunity to present their projects at PERUMIN 36th Mining Convention.

PERUMIN Inspira, the main recognition given by the mining industry to social enterprises in the highlands and jungle, announced the extension of the deadline for the reception of proposals until June 4th. This program is organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) in partnership with CIP Agrilac Resiliente and managed by Kunan, a platform for strengthening the ecosystem of social and environmental entrepreneurship.

Given the demand for this program, it was decided to provide greater opportunities to more entrepreneurs who contribute to one of the 8 selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 1) end poverty; SDG 2) zero hunger; SDG 3) health and well-being; SDG 5) gender equality; SDG 6) clean water and sanitation; SDG 8) decent work and economic growth; SDG 12) responsible production and consumption; and SDG 13) climate action.

"We have been receiving various proposals from social enterprises from all over the country. They are looking for support at all levels, i.e. technical, legal, training, financial, etc. That is why we have decided to extend the deadline so that no one is left out. We are very pleased with the turnout and we will continue with our objective of promoting good practices as an industry," said Jimena Sologuren, president of PERUMIN Inspira.

This year's edition will have four winners. Three of them in the category "High Impact Entrepreneurship" and one thanks to the special recognition 'CIP Agrilac Resiliente'. In addition, finalists will receive technical assistance to position their business and consolidate an ecosystem of strategic alliances.

The winners of PERUMIN Inspira will receive seed capital thanks to Poderosa mining company, Orica and the Moquegua Crece program; as well as digital technical support thanks to the Kaman Business Incubator of the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP); legal support from the law firm Benites, Vargas & Ugaz Abogados; mentoring sessions by the ADN Partners Accelerator; access to virtual workshops thanks to Tecsup; and promotion and dissemination in the media.
