PERUMIN Hub and its line of work "Jóvenes que transforman" (Youth that transform) continues its national tour visiting the northern and southern areas of our territory. Last week it was present in the city of Trujillo, where the most representative institutions of higher education in the area were visited, including Universidad Nacional de Trujillo (UNT), Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (UPAO), and Tecsup. Likewise, a meeting was held with the community of Amautas Mineros in the framework of their 10th National Meeting in that city at the facilities of the Gran Recreo Hotel.

It should be noted that the objective of this national tour is to promote the rapprochement between young people and the mining sector, focusing on the generation of innovative solutions to the challenges of the sector. It also aims to disseminate in a decentralized manner the opportunity to participate in the " Jóvenes que transforman" contest, which will receive applications from June 20 to July 24 of this year.

The development of workshops provided in the tour is in charge of Peru Mining Innovation Hub team and has the support of staff from the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers, since the collaboration between the two organizations makes PERUMIN Hub a reality. In addition, each visit includes the participation of an exhibitor representing a mining company from the region.

In the coming weeks, visits to higher education institutions in the center and south of the country will continue according to the following schedule:

Lima

On April 18, the National University of San Marcos will be visited. The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. and will be open to both the student community and the general public.

Tacna

On April 19, the workshop will be held at the central auditorium of Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre Grohmann (UNJBG). The presentation will be given by a representative of Compañía Minera Minsur. The appointment is at 11:00 a.m. and the general public is invited to participate.

On April 19, the Universidad Privada de Tacna will also be visited. The workshop will be held at 4:00 p.m. and will include a presentation by a representative of Compañía Minera Minsur. The general public is invited to attend.

Moquegua

On April 20, a visit will be made to the Universidad Nacional de Moquegua (UNAM) in the city of the same name. The workshop will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Professional School of Mining Engineering, with the presence of a speaker representing Compañía Minera Anglo American. Participation is open to the general public.

Similarly, on April 20, the UNAM headquarters in the city of Ilo will be visited. This event will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Professional School of Environmental Engineering and will be attended by a speaker representing Compañía Minera Anglo American. Participation is open to the general public.

Cusco

On April 26, the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC) will be visited, where this event will take place at 11:00 a.m. and will be open to the student community and the general public. On this occasion, the presentation will be given by a representative of Hudbay Mining Company.

Apurimac

The workshop will be held on April 27 at the Universidad Nacional Micaela Bastidas de Apurímac (UNABAMBA). The appointment is at 4:00 p.m. for its student community and the general public. A representative of Compañía Minera Las Bambas will be present.
