Lima, JUNE 8 2023 PERUMIN 36 will present a new information segment on the regulation of natural resources in Canada

PERUMIN 36, the leading mining convention in Latin America and the world, has Canada as a partner country, which like Peru, has a long mining tradition and certain advances in terms of environmental regulation that allow the growth of this industry in a sustainable manner. Therefore, this year the event will include a block dedicated to the regulation and treatment of natural resources in Canada.

"In this edition of PERUMIN, we will have a segment that will present the 'Natural Resources of Canada'. This segment will be carried out by a Canadian government entity, whose purpose is to ensure that mining grows in a continuous, effective, sustainable way, that benefits the economic growth of the country and, in addition, guarantees the safety of its population and territory", indicated Miguel Cardozo, president of PERUMIN 36 in an interview with the RCR media.

Miguel Cardozo highlighted that this is a very relevant issue for our country, where the processes that streamline the development of mining activity in a sustainable way and without delay could be replicated.

"They have the mechanism, and we want to learn how they do it so that we can also apply it in our conditions", he pointed out.

On the other hand, Mr. Cardozo commented that the organization of PERUMIN 36, to be held from September 25 to 29, at the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa, is progressing ahead of expectations. Its program of activities includes the Mining Summit, the Mining Technology Exhibition (EXTEMIN), the Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Forum (TIS Forum), the International Meeting, PERUMIN Inspira, PERUMIN Hub, among others.

"We are going to have major representatives from all over the world. At EXTEMIN we will have 1,200 stands, of which around 350 will be in charge of foreign companies, in what we call the International Pavilion. During the Mining Summit, we will have representatives of the largest companies in the world, most of them operating in our country and the region", said Cardozo.

According to the president of PERUMIN 36, this year they will also give a relevant space to the mining of the future, so they will analyze the main factors that will condition, facilitate or hinder the process of the mining industry in the next 10 or 20 years, both in the technological, social and environmental aspects.
