The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers announces the 2nd Safe Mounting Contest aimed at all approved mounting companies that will participate in the execution of works of design, implementation and decoration of booths for PERUMIN 36th Mining Convention.
This contest covers different aspects of assembly and is intended to encourage due importance to the quality of service, as well as the safety and health of workers involved in assembly works.
The contest also aims to reinforce workers' awareness of good construction practices in occupational health and safety aspects, taking into account the regulations and the times given for each activity according to them.
Regarding the evaluation criteria, we will seek to qualify the real impact on the improvement of construction processes in all their stages, as well as on the compliance with occupational health and safety, considering the possibility that the idea can be extrapolated to other events of similar characteristics. The evaluation also contemplates the homologation process, the delivery of designs with the correct requirements and timing as well as the disassembly process.
In this way, four items will be rated with a score from 1 (bad) to 5 (excellent): site safety, biosafety, technical construction aspect and customer satisfaction; the last item will be evaluated through a survey that will be given to each customer.
The jury will be made up of a committee of professionals in the different items to be rated, and will be responsible for proclaiming the 3 winners of the contest.
The IIMP encourages actions, processes, methodologies and any other attitude that affects the improvement of occupational health and safety conditions, as well as opportunities for improvement during assembly, use of appropriate materials, certified tools and equipment.
