One month before the start of the PERUMIN 36 Mining Convention, Enrique Alania, president of the Technological Mining Exhibition (EXTEMIN), discussed the progress made by this important technological fair. EXTEMIN is considered one of the prime examples of mining innovation in the regions and anticipates hosting over 65,000 visitors.
“This edition of EXTEMIN will feature 450 companies and institutions in 1200 stands. Peruvian and international suppliers, as well as contractors, will showcase technological solutions and specialized services to meet the different needs of the mining industry and related sectors,” he stated.
The specialist added that EXTEMIN will also include the “School Leaders” program, aimed at recruiting students from universities and institutions across Peru to volunteer working as stand staff. They will provide visitors with general information about the organizations and the different facilities at the venue.
“Through the School Leaders program, EXTEMIN plans to engage between 300 and 500 young volunteers. These volunteers will have the opportunity to support exhibiting companies and institutions, learn about cutting-edge products and services, and offer information to the more than 65,000 visitors expected at the technological mining fair,” he said.
International Pavilion with Canada
Enrique Alania also emphasized that one of the main highlights of EXTEMIN will be the International Pavilion, which will host nine delegations from Europe, America, Asia, and Oceania. These delegations will include some of the largest mining companies, providers, and government institutions connected to the mining sector.
“EXTEMIN’s International Pavilion will showcase our special guest and partner country, Canada, along with a delegation of organizations connected to the mining sector. They will share insights into their best practices for operational excellence, their portfolio of modern equipment and machinery, and their socio-environmental responsibility programs," he explained.
Awards for the Best Stands
Finally, the president of EXTEMIN mentioned that during the closing ceremony of PERUMIN 36, awards will be presented to the best stands in the following five categories: International Pavilion, Large Outdoor Stand, Small Outdoor Stand, Indoor Stand, and Mine Stand. Additionally, there will be an Honorary Mention category.
“We will present awards to the best stands based on their overall design and presentation, including accessibility to information about the goods and services they offer. We anticipate that this initiative will promote healthy and fun competition among exhibitors and conventioneers,” he said.
