The TIS Forum, chaired by Juan Carlos Ortiz and to be held in the framework of PERUMIN 36th Mining Convention, has extended the deadline for the reception of technical papers to compete for the National Mining Award, the most prestigious award given out by the Peruvian mining industry to researchers, professionals and academics of the sector.
Therefore, professionals and students who carry out activities related to the mining sector or who can contribute interesting proposals in this regard are invited to send their abstracts until Thursday, March 30.
The projects to be submitted must be related to the mining sector in any of the eight established categories: Geology and Exploration; Mining Operations; Mining Economics; Environmental Management; Social Management; Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy; Legal and Tax; and Mining Research and Technology.
The first phase of this call consists of submitting abstracts of technical papers, which will be evaluated and pre-selected by leading professionals from mining companies and academic institutions.
The second phase is focused on the selected papers, which will be exhibited in the TIS Forum program during PERUMIN 36 and from which the winner of the National Mining Award will be chosen.

PERUMIN is the leading mining convention in Latin America and worldwide, whose 36th edition will be held from September 25 to 29 under the slogan "Investment that generates welfare and sustainable development.”
