The appreciation cocktail party of the 35th and 36th editions of PERUMIN was held at the Country Club, San Isidro, Lima.

Abraham Chahuan, president of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), participated in the appreciation cocktail party of the 35th and 36th editions of PERUMIN, which was held at the Country Club, San Isidro, Lima.

Chahuan thanked all those who were part of the two teams in both editions. "We have decided to hold the 37th edition in 2025, and we will publish the date soon," he noted.

He also referred to the slogans of the two past editions: PERUMIN 35, "Building together a greater Peru," and PERUMIN 36, "Investment that generates welfare and sustainable development."

He also pointed out that both events have served as platforms to present a world-class, competitive, sustainable, and supportive mining industry. "Mining not only creates employment, development, and infrastructure; it also drives innovation, technology, and regional development," he said.

Acknowledgments

The president of the IIMP, Abraham Chahuan, and the general manager of the IIMP, Carlos Diez Canseco, participated in an emotional ceremony to recognize the work of the organizing committee of the last two mining conventions. The leadership of Claudia Cooper and Miguel Cardozo, presidents of the 35th and 36th PERUMIN editions, was highlighted.

Furthermore, the Ambassador of Canada, Louis Marcotte, gave some words of gratitude as an Allied Country of PERUMIN 36 and encouraged both countries to keep working hand in hand in favor of mining and new technologies in the sector.

He also thanked the sponsoring companies, such as Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde, Compañía Minera Antamina, Southern Peru Copper Corporation, Repsol Comercial, and others.

Recognition was also given to the countries with the highest participation in PERUMIN 35 and 36, such as the People's Republic of China, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United States of America, Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Chile.
