APURÍMAC, JUNE 23 2021 The development of infrastructure and its financing will be analyzed tomorrow

Infrastructure is vital for the development of the mining sector. Therefore, at the Thursday 24 session of "Mining for development in Apurímac", the head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Eduardo González, will present the strategic projects of shared infrastructure in this region.

His keynote address is scheduled for 6:40 pm; prior to this, there will be a presentation by Alex Le Grange, a specialist in the mining industry from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) infrastructure team, who will provide more details on IFC's experience in developing railway projects.

This block - on the second day of the Heading to PERUMIN conferences - will begin with a presentation by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Waldo Mendoza, who will share the latest macroeconomic figures for Peru.

The panel of analysts will be formed by the governor of Apurímac, Baltazar Lantarón; the manager of Corporate Affairs and Business Development at Las Bambas mine, Carlos Castro; and the director of Videnza Consultores, Milton Von Hesse.

Finally, the conference “Mining for development in Apurímac” will be closed by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Jaime Gálvez, and the president of PERUMIN 35 Mining Convention, Claudia Cooper.
