The Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke, confirmed his participation in the program of conferences Heading to PERUMIN, a space for open and decentralized debate organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), which will be held online from September 20 to 24.
The head of the MEF will be part of the "Long-term mining policy" block scheduled for September 23, where he will give a lecture on "Mining as an agent of long-term development", addressing the main attributes of this strategic economic activity for the future of the country.
Velarde will participate together with other prominent representatives of the public and private sectors, academia and international organizations such as the Mining Council of Australia, Mining Association of Canada, International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), World Bank, CEPLAN, International Financial Cooperation ( IFC) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Heading to PERUMIN is an initiative of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the Executive Committee of PERUMIN 35. It is the prelude to the 35th edition of the traditional Mining Convention, which will take place in 2022.
