A total of 12 companies participated in these two days of the conference: "Mining: Sustainability, Economic Impact and Electoral Proposals", an event that takes place within the program of Heading to PERUMIN - Bicentennial Edition.
The cycle of lectures began on Wednesday, May 26 with a 360° tour of the Las Bambas Mine; followed by Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde, that announced the progress of its innovation, challenge and solution program; and by the Tecnología de Materiales company that provided information about the application of geosynthetics in mining projects.
Interlub made a presentation on sustainable mining through biodegradable lubricants; while Hudbay shared its experience in environmental compensation and ecosystem services; and the day ended with the presentation by Ingeniería y Servicios Asociados (Servingsa) on advances in fines classification in mineral processing.
The second day of the conference began with presentations by SGS del Peru, a company that reported on operations in the first intraport laboratory in South America; from Repsol Comercial, who explained safety in fuel transportation; and Atlas Copco Peru, who reported on innovations to improve productivity in the mining sector.
On Thursday 27, the companies present were Corporación Primax, who described the GTL lubricant base and the Shell Pure Plus portfolio; BGM-Energotec who presented their Quickbit solution; and Compañía Minera Poderosa who concluded the conference program by sharing their operations and vision.
