• Executives from the world's largest mining company will be in the country between August 15 and 19

Between August 15 and 19, our country will be visited by an important delegation of BHP executives, whose purpose is to hold meetings with different political and business leaders with whom they will discuss the work that the company has been implementing in mining exploration, investment plans, as well as its upcoming participation in PERUMIN 35.

BHP is the world's leading mining company dedicated to mineral exploration and exploitation with more than 137 years of experience, with operations in Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and the southwest of the United States. In Peru, BHP is present through its participation in the Antamina copper mining company.

The company has also been present in Peru for eight years with copper exploration projects in six regions of the country, identifying this country as an important player in the future of mining, which will increasingly require copper for electrification, decarbonization and energy transition.

As part of its next activities, BHP announced its participation in the forthcoming edition of PERUMIN 35, one of the most important mining conventions in the country and Latin America, which will be held from September 26 to 30 of this year.
