LIMA, SEPTEMBER 17 2021 Heading to PERUMIN to release 5 publications on the mining industry

Heading to PERUMIN - Bicentennial Edition has stood out for being a space for open and decentralized debate. Thus, for its central edition - which will take place online from September 20 to 24 – the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers will release 5 important publications on the national and global mining industry.

A first study will be “Mining in Peru: 2021-2030”, which the IIMP has been working on with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and which will address the role of mining in economic reactivation and territorial development.

A second publication will focus on the assessment of tax scenarios on mining activity; a subject to be developed by the Universidad del Pacífico and which is part of the "Competitive Fiscal Policy" block.

The global consulting firm Wood Mackenzie will present a report entitled "The Competitiveness of Peruvian Mining and Fiscal Conditions."

The IIMP also confirmed that the Spanish version of the report "Sustainable development in mining countries" prepared by the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) will be released during the event.

Meanwhile, the World Bank and the IIMP will release the publication "Diagnosis of Peruvian mining and proposals for improvement", a topic that is part of the conference block "Long-Term Mining Policy" to be held in the morning of Thursday 23.
