Cajamarca, JANUARY 28 2022 Cajamarca: Child vaccination against Covid-19 starts with the support of Yanacocha

The Covid-19 child vaccination process started this Wednesday, January 26, for children 10 to 11 years old and children 5 to 11 years old with concurrent diseases in the region of Cajamarca.

The launching of this process was headed by the Regional Health Office of Cajamarca and was carried out in the facilities of the “Yanacocha Offices” vaccination center in the city of Cajamarca, where more than 58,000 doses have been applied to date.

Edward Mundaca, Head of the Cajamarca Comprehensive Health Network, highlighted the work of his sector with the collaboration of the private sector, in this case Yanacocha, which has been the only company that accommodated its offices to implement a vaccination center and a very well-fitted storage place to receive persons with concurrent diseases.

“Today we can show the great work we are capable of achieving when we join efforts for the benefit of the population. A sample of that is the initiation of the vaccination process for children 5 to 11 years old”, he expressed.

According to the reports from the Ministry of Health, in the past weeks there was an accelerated increase of transmissions throughout the country, including Cajamarca. Therefore, coordinated activities continue with the vaccination process, which is the main weapon available to face Covid-19.

With every parent committed to comply with vaccinating their children, this process will certainly be successful and will provide protection to the children and to all citizens, as explained by the official from the Cajamarca Health Network (RIS).

In turn, the company Newmont Yanacocha encouraged the public and private sector and the population, to join efforts to achieve greater progress, mostly towards improving the quality of life and the health conditions of more people in Cajamarca.
