The Academic Boulevard aims to promote innovation and academic research, talent, and the development of science focused on mining.
For the first time, PERUMIN 37, the leading mining convention in Latin America and the world, will have an Academic Boulevard, an exhibition space where educational institutions, including universities and technological institutes, can present project and research proposals in the mining field, academic programs, and innovations, as well as host interactive activities.
The purpose of this space within PERUMIN 37 is to foster collaboration between academia and the different sectors involved in the mining field, including the government, companies, professional associations, multilateral organizations, among others. It also seeks to promote academic innovation, talent, and the development of science focused on mining.
The Academic Boulevard will feature 24 top educational institutions, both Peruvian and international, whose exhibition proposals will be pre-approved by the PERUMIN 37 Organizing Committee and the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP).
Participating institutions will be selected based on the quality and relevance of their academic proposals, the level of innovation of their initiatives, and their alignment with the challenges of the mining, technology and industry sectors. Priority will also be given to their contribution to the research ecosystem, with a focus on key themes such as mining, sustainability, energy, emerging technologies and others.
Another crucial aspect is the impact and outreach capacity of the academic proposals, which will be complemented by workshops, lectures, simulations, and other activities that will enhance the experience and interaction with PERUMIN 37 visitors.
It is worth noting that the IIMP, the official organizer of PERUMIN, along with the various organizing committees involved in its development, has been making significant efforts to strengthen ties with the academic world, encouraging an increasing presence of university professors and students. This platform has not only contributed to their professional development but has also strengthened their links with professionals and students from different fields, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
