Students and recent graduates in fields related to the mining sector are invited to participate.

Lima, October 10, 2024. The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the Organizing Committee of PERUMIN 37 are proud to present PERUMIN Jóvenes for the first time. This event will provide a platform to showcase the opportunities offered by the mining industry, enabling young professionals, university or technical students, and high schoolers to enhance their education and contribute to the sector’s future development.

As part of the event, the PERUMIN Scholarships will be introduced—a new initiative allowing final-year students and recent graduates to attend the mining convention in 2025 free of charge, where they can connect with the most prominent leaders in the industry.

Additionally, the Student Leaders program will be featured, promoting volunteer work by technical and university students during the convention. The various activities organized by the IIMP to contribute to the professional development of future generations will also be highlighted.

PERUMIN Jóvenes will also serve as the stage for the awards ceremony for the 2024 winners of PERUMIN Inspira, a program that fosters social entrepreneurship in high Andean regions; PERUMIN Hub, an innovation program under the “Young People Who Bring About Transformation” category; and the National Mining Award for High School Students.

The event will take place on October 29 and 30 of this year at the IIMP headquarters. All technical and university students nationwide, as well as professionals interested in learning more about the opportunities that mining offers for the development and improvement of education in the country, are invited to attend.
