Young volunteers of the PERUMIN 36 edition participated in a cycle of conferences of the "Student Leaders" program that takes place at the end of each edition of this mining convention.
The event was moderated by Homar Lozano. The speakers were Julia Torreblanca, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde with the theme "Cerro Verde, Pride That Unites Us".
Edgardo Orderique and Rómulo Mucho, both directors of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) were also present. Orderique was General Manager of Operations at Las Bambas, a copper mine located in Cotabambas in Apurimac. He was in charge of the presentation "Challenges of A Mining Operation". Romulo Mucho, Past President of the IIMP, spoke on "Leadership in Modern Mining".
Eduardo Lanao, Executive Director of CrossPartners presented "Leadership, Employability and Decision Making". Diana Rake, president of the "Student Leaders" program, was in charge of the opening and closing of this event.
In this series of conferences, the young volunteers learned about the experiences of these officials, as well as the importance of the sector in the country's development.
A total of 385 young students from the last years of university participated as volunteers in this edition of PERUMIN.
