Within the framework of the activities of Heading to PERUMIN, the call for applications for the second edition of Perumin Inspira was announced, the first prize for social enterprises that contribute to the sustainable development of communities in high Andean areas.

The competition, promoted thanks to an alliance between the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and Kunan, aims to identify innovative ideas and ventures that contribute to four of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Zero hunger, health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, and decent work and economic growth.

“Today more than ever we highlight the importance of working together to address the challenges we face as a country. For this reason, we present the second edition of the Perumin Inspira Award, which seeks to recognize, promote and make viable the innovative ideas that are developed, with the aim of generating opportunities and development for the Peruvian highlands ”, said Jimena Sologuren, President of Perumin Inspira.

The award seeks to position entrepreneurship as a tool for social change, consolidate an ecosystem of support for them at a social and environmental level, and provide a space for collaboration and learning that challenges entrepreneurs to solve, hand in hand with the best mentors and specialists, the main challenges facing their organizations.

Entrepreneurs can submit their innovation proposals until June 30. To this end, the innovative ideas category has been established, focused on functional prototypes that respond to the four proposed SDGs.

To participate, the entrepreneur must have a functional prototype or a minimum viable product that contributes to solving the identified problem. In addition, it must have a business model proposal for the sale of products and/or services that allows the eventual self-sustainability of the venture.
