  • The Matchmaking 1 platform has 16 multiple-choice questions that have been designed to help many startups/companies to connect with their common interests.
  • The Matchmaking 2 platform is an opportunity for innovators to present preliminary solutions to 17 mining companies and get their feedback.

PERUMIN HUB launched their free platforms that are available to the Peruvian and international community, whose purpose is to connect innovators to complement their capacities and increase the potential of their solutions for the mining sector, as well as to receive feedback from mining companies.

Based on a 16 multiple-choice questions, Matchmaking 1 will allow startups to collaborate with commercially more solid companies in the country, transfer technologies from the academia, national and/or international, to the Peruvian industry, and also connect international companies with Peruvian companies that know the domestic market, among other interactions aimed at strengthening the innovative community around the mining sector. This platform will be available until May 27th.

Matchmaking 2 is available as of April 28th, in this platform those engaged in solutions can present preliminary proposals to 17 mining companies in order to have their feedback and thus tune their ideas for potential users.

“These platforms provide the unique opportunity for diverse innovators to connect with startups, entrepreneurs and/or companies that have common interests. Today, solvers not only from Peru but from Germany, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Israel, and New Zealand as well, are actively participating by sharing their experiences and knowledge so we can jointly develop mining solutions to get feedback from major companies” says Pamela Antonioli, general manager of the Peruvian Mining Innovation Hub.

The PERUMIN Hub initiative stems from the alliance between the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the Peruvian Mining Innovation Hub, supported by institutions committed to trace out a route that allows mining to be positioned as a sector that innovates in community and guides innovators facilitating their growth, consolidation and commercial take-off in the sector.

This initiative will have various stages, including Matchmaking 1 and 2, and the challenge, framed under three thematic areas: environment and sustainability, water resources and mining 4.0. These areas were prioritized based on studies and the participation of 17 mining companies, in such a way that all contestants may design their proposals for the development of this sector.
