Lima, June 21, 2022. This week at Mining Thursday, an event organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), a conference will be held where the challenges of infrastructure development and its importance for the macro-regional development of the Peruvian southern regions of Apurímac, Cusco, and Puno will be analyzed and discussed.

This issue will be addressed in depth by Gabriel Daly, CONFIEP’s manager of economic policy and development and former general director of the General Directorate of Private investment at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as part of the series of conferences Rumbo a PERUMIN.

There will also be a panel discussion featuring Nicolas Luza, zonal coordinator of Provías in Puno; Zaida Tecsi, journalist for La República Cusco; and Eleazar Crucinta, rector of Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad de Cusco.

The discussion will revolve around the contribution the mining sector makes to the improvement and rehabilitation of road infrastructure in these three departments in order to make a positive impact on users at a regional and national level.

The session will be moderated by Guillermo Shinno, general manager of Anabi S.A.C. and Apumayo S.A.C. mining companies, and will be streamed live on June 23, at 19:00, to our official Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/IIMPOficial) and our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/IIMPOficial/videos).
